Indenter Methods of Determining the Adhesive and Cohesive Strength of Thin Coatings

The deformation and disintegration of thin coatings in indenter tests is considered. The energy cost of the associated damage is calculated. Methods of determining the adhesive and cohesive strength of thin coatings are developed.
