Indian companies Hindalco Industries and Hindustan Copper (HCL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Hindustan to provide copper concentrate to Hindalco. Under the purchase-and-sale MoU, around 60% of the copper content of stateowned HCL's concentrate production will be utilised by privately owned Hindalco to manufacture refined copper. The company claims to supply more than 50% of the country's refined copper requirements.
