Recognising and understanding the benefits a farm adviser can offer and then, subsequently, knowing where to Look for one who is credible and reliable can be a challenge.But with an increasing number of advisers signing up to the Register of Sheep Advisers (RoSA) that challenge is set to become a thing of the past for sheep farmers in 2022.The register now offers a network of more than 70 consultants across the UK, allowing sheep farmers seeking information or guidance on an aspect of their business to find an adviser best suited to support their system. And, once sourced, a sheep advisercan soon become a valued member of any farming team, as sheep farmer John Johnston, from Blairmullouch Farm in Ayrshire, explains.
