More than 10,000 NHS staff members have been absent from work for 12 weeks or more since the start of the COV1D19 pandemic as a result of illness related to long COV1D, The Pharmaceutical Journal can reveal. Data obtained through responses to Freedom of Information (FOI) requests from 178 NHS trusts in England have revealed for the first time that at least 10,370 staff members were absent from work for at least 12 weeks owing to illness from COV1D-19 between 30 January 2020 and 11 March 2022.
