Repaint imminent for LNER '225s'

THE LNER InterCity 225 fleet of Class 91 locomotives and Mk 4 carriages will be repainted into a new livery this year. LNER has retained a number of '225s'alongside its new Azuma fleet and deploys them on King's Cross to Leeds/York services. The number of Mk 4 rakes being retained has increased from seven to nine, in part as LNER ensures it has additional resilience in its fleet due to the issues with cracks affecting the Azumas, and at the December timetable change the number of daily diagrams for the sets increased to five.
