Crude oil production in the US fell by 200,000 b/d in the week ended Jun. 16 to an average of 12.2 million b/d, according to estimates from the US Energy Information Administration's (EIA) Weekly Petroleum Status Report. The agency rounds its weekly estimates of US crude production as well as output from the lower 48, which includes major shale playsand the US Gulf of Mexico, to the nearest 100,000 b/d. Lower 48 production also fell by 200,000 b/d to an estimated 11.8 million b/dlast week.
