The Polish refiner expects processing volumes at its facilities in the Czech Republic and Poland this year to fall by 2% compared to 2019 as a result of preventive maintenance. In 1Q, PKN Orlen will begin conducting a preventive measure, which will be performed every mondi, at one of four 16.3MM-mt/y (327K-b/d) primary processing unit at its 276K-b/d Plock refinery. In 2Q, a hydrotreatment plant will be taken offline for preventive measures. In 3Q, the company will make repairs on other primary processing units. By decommissioning these units, middle distillate production is expected to fall. In 2019, the Plock refinery produced more dian 8.1 MM mt of jet fuel, heating oil, and diesel, which was 300K mt higher compared to 2018. Czech Unipetrol, which is controlled by PKN Orlen, will perform repairs on units widi a combined 5.4MM mt (108K b/d) capacity at its 120K-b/d Litvinov refinery in the Czech Republic.
