Dr Amitabha Bhattacharyya Memorial Lecture was instituted in the year 1992 in the memory of Late Dr Amitabha Bhattacharyya, an eminent engineer-teacher and Past President of the Institution. The 29th Dr Amitabha Bhattacharyya Memorial Lecture was delivered by Dr Ajay Kumar, IAS, Secretary to the Government of India, Ministry of Defence on the topic leading with Tech in the coming Decade'. Er Narendra Singh, President, IEI and Prof K Venkatasubbaiah, Vice President, IEI were Session Chairman and Co-chairman respectively.
