US carbon certificate price reaches highest level since August 2022

US carbon certificate prices were on the rise on March 30ahead of the end of the first quarter of 2023 and the roll into thenext strip.Platts assessed the California Carbon Allowance Vintage 2023delivered in December at $31.07/Allowance, the highest levelsince August 2022, after a trade and market indications werereported near that level.The current-month and next-month strips were also higheron a bullish market direction, rising 53 cents and 38 cents on theweek to be assessed at $29.93/Allowance and $29.90/Allowance,respectively.
