US battery storage grew by 1.2 GW in the third quarter of 2022 and ison pace to have its best year on record, a bright spot on an otherwisesluggish quarter for clean energy installations as the industry faces project delays, trade headwinds and supply chain problems, theAmerican Clean Power Association said Nov. 2.Battery storage installations in Q3 were up 227% compared toQ3 2021, ACP said in its quarterly market report. Storage is also ontrack for a strong year, John Hensley, the vice president of researchanalytics for ACP, said during a press briefing. “In fact, today we areroughly at the same level we saw in all of 2021,” he said regardingbattery installations.
