THE most commonly used covid-19 vaccines are safe in pregnancy, a study has found. There has been a lack of clarity over the risks of covid-19 and vaccines against it during pregnancy throughout much of the pandemic. In the UK, vaccines began being rolled out in December 2020, but weren't offered to pregnant people until April 2021. Worldwide, pregnant people are now encouraged to get vaccinated. But in the UK, only 3 in 5 women who gave birth in January 2022 had received at least one dose.
