? 2022 Elsevier B.V.The silica nanospheres (SiO2 NSs) were synthesized by the hydrolysis of tetraethyl orthosilicate, then these nanospheres were functionalized by Trisodium citrate, rhodamine B (RHB) and dextrin to afford dextrin modified SiO2-COOH-RHB NSs (SCRD NSs). The results showed that the average size of SCRD NSs was 16.8 nm and had a strong fluorescence property. And the prepared SCRD NSs can be used to separate specifically MBP-tagged C4X from E. coli lysate and 5 mmol/L maltose was considered as the best elution concentration. After three times recycling, the prepared SCRD NSs remained good specificity and recycling performance for MBP-tagged C4X. It was worth noting that SCRD NSs showed high specificity and high separation efficiency for both MBP-tagged C4X and MBP-tagged N36, which showed good universality for MBP-tagged fusion proteins.
