Numerous experiments on acoustics have already been described in this column, e.g., on the different types of sound~1 or on acoustic beats.~2 The topic of cavity resonance and the determination of the speed of sound from the resonance frequencies of various tubes,~3 glasses,~4 and bottles~5 has also been addressed several times. A topic that has not yet been considered is the recording of a resonance curve. We would like to present here an experimental possibility with very simple devices. Apart from two smartphones, all you need is a wine glass.
