It's not uncommon for creators of all kinds to have unfinished works. Leonardo da Vinci left behind-or as he described, "abandoned"-countless paintings and projects before his death in 1519. "The Virgin and Child With Saint Anne," "Saint Jerome" and "Adoration of the Magi," for instance, are ranked as three of da Vinci's top unfinished paintings, according to a recent Daily Art Magazine report. The "Mona Lisa" masterpiece, too, is considered incomplete.
