摘要

Different issues have been associated with conventional tillage practice such as higher energy consumption, yield stagnation and accelerated rate organic matter decomposition leads to degradation of soil health. It has significant impact on wheat growth and productivity. At present scenario, India has negative nutrient balance with a value of nearly 10 million tonnes. In this context, a comparative study of different crop establishment method and interculture practices in wheat for their nutrient uptake is of prime importance. In the present investigation, different establishment methods and interculture practices in wheat were studied to find out their potential to influence nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K) uptake and effect on tillering pattern. The field experiment was carried out at Norman. E. Borlaug Crop Research Centre of GBPUAT, Pantnagar, Uttarakhand. Seven treatments including five crop establishment methods viz., conventional tillage, reduced tillage, zero tillage, raised bed 40/20 cm, raised bed 60/20 cm and two inter-culture practices viz. cono-weeding and alternate ridging were tested in randomized block design. Results revealed that at conventional tillage produced maximum number of tillers (945 per m~2) at 55 DAS. However, it was found statistically at par with the reduced tillage.
