Lebanon has extended the deadline for its second offshore licensing round as potential investors await drilling results from the Qanaprospect in Block 9. Energy Minister Walid Fayad had told journalists that the auction was likely to be delayed. "I have been hearing from players in thefi eld that they are keen on seeing results of the drilling in Block 9 before they can make a decision on further investments andcommitments in Lebanon," Fayad said. Companies will be given another three months to submit interest, with the deadline extended to Oct. 2, from June. 30.
