Advancements in Vinyl Acrylic Emulsion Technology: Exceeding Current Performance Standards with a High Performance Vinyl Acrylic Latex Binder

Emulsion polymers prepared for this work focused on performance in interior wall paint formulas corresponding to MPI Gloss levels 1-3, which encompass flat through eggshell-like sheens. Paints were prepared by conventional preparation of a common grind base, followed by a letdown, in which the polymer was added.
