First, we thank you for giving us the opportunity to clarify the points that mentioned in the letter. We also thank the author for expressing his concern and interest in our study [1]. In our study, 30 (19.4%) of the candiduria patients had candidemia, while only 18 (11.6%) of the candiduria patients had candidemia with the same candida species [2]. Despite the study population formed from the adults, Bougnoux et al. reported in a multicentre study reported that 8% of the candiduric patients developed candidemia with the same species [3]. On the contrary, another study from Greece, in which molecular analyses were also performed in the candida species isolated from urine and bloodstream, reported that only 2.8% of the isolates were genetically related [4].
