A nut that has internal threads that form threads into a cylindrical or conical shaped substrate through the process of applying torque to the nut. More lobes decreases the surface area contact between the nut thread and mating substrate. Surface area contact increases as the nut advances onto the mating substrate. This will result in a lower torque to start the thread forming process when few nut threads are engaged and higher torque at the end of the thread forming process when all of the nut threads are engaged. A counter bore to help align the nut to the cylinder or conical shape to ensure the threads are aligned along the axis cylinder or conical shape. There may be many lobes ranging from four to the nth number depending on the substrate material properties.
