But in Greece a bricklayer put the bricks in place with the help of an Augmented Reality (AR) visualisation. The project shows the potential of AR for architecture: the ideas range from the paper-free building site to the possibility of making ad hoc adaptations to plans on site. At the ETH Zuerich Fabio Gramazio and Matthias Kohler have been researching for 16 years, how the use of industrial robots can change design and building and make it more efficient, more sustainable, and more economical. The year before last a further brick building in a reinforced concrete frame - the Kitrus Winery - was completed. The bricks were laid by hand using mortar.
