FIRST gas from Eni's ground-breaking Coral South floating liquefied natural gas project off-shore Mozambique could flow as early as September, according to three well-placed sources. Publicly, Eni has always said that first production from the Coral Sul FLNG in Area 4 will take place in the second half of this year, declining to be more spe-cific. However, a trio of contacts with insight into the project said the official target date is early October, but for reasons of polit-ical kudos, a stretch target of about mid-September - perhaps even earlier - is being seriously contemplated.
