摘要

A novel low density Al0.8Nb0.5Ti2V2Zr0.5 refractory high-entropy alloy with dual-phase structure was prepared by vacuum arc melting. The microstructure is composed of BCC solid solution matrix phase and a few C14-Laves phase. The alloy has a low density of 5.35 g/cm(3) and a high hardness of 5.86 GPa. The compressive yield strength achieved 1418 MPa at room temperature and reached 931 MPa at 873 K and then dropped to 760 MPa at 1073 K. Compared with Inconel 718 superalloy and other refractory alloys, the specific yield strength at different temperatures and the density of the Al0.8Nb0.5Ti2V2Zr0.5 alloy are more excellent.
