? 2022 Elsevier B.V.Microbial infection has been a major threat to human health worldwide. With a dramatic increase in bacterial resistance, it is critical to develop nonantibiotic-dependent therapies to conquer the bacterial drug-resistance. In this work, we constructed Cu2Se/Bi2S3 nanocomposites used as both chemodynamic therapy and photothermal therapy agents. It had synergistic bactericidal efficiency based on peroxidase-like activity and near-infrared (NIR)-induced hyperthermia, which made Cu2Se/Bi2S3 nanocomposites possess good anti-Escherichia coli and anti-Staphylococcus aureus ability with inappreciable cytotoxicity. Moreover, it was further manifested that S. aureus infected wound treating with Cu2Se/Bi2S3 NCs presented excellent healing outcome.
