The purpose of this research is to generalize to closed subcategories of σ[M] an investigation concerning the lattice of kernel functors in R-Mod initiated by J. Golan, A. Viola-Prioli and J. Viola-Prioli in a recent article. In fact, in that work the main tool for deriving properties inside this lattice was the filter of one-sided ideals associated with a kernel functor.
