Indian imports of crude loaded at Russian ports in June fell against the previous month for the first time in nine months, weighed down by a sharp fall in ESPO Blend supplies. Indian imports of Russian crude were 1.96mn b/d in June, down by 4.4pc from a revised 2.05mn b/d in May but up by 75pc from 1.12mn b/d a year earlier, according to Vortexa data. Imports, excluding CPC Blend of Kazakh origin, were 1.82mn b/d, down from 1.92mn b/d a month earlier but over 85pc more than the 982,000 b/d in June 2022.
