Capacity projects recently reported by ERJ

Mitsui Chemicals is building a 120ktpa unit of the production of its Tafmer alpha-olefin copolymers on )urong Island, Singapore. Due for completion in fiscal 2024, the unit will bring Mitsui's total production capacity for the elastomers there to 345ktpa. Tafmer is used as a soft moulding material and as a resin modifier to improve resin properties, and is used in automotive, solar cell, industrial, and packaging applications.
