On 15 December the cabinet of Leicestershire County Council elected to pause its transfer ot Reid and Sigrist Desford VZ728/G-AGOS to the Newark Air Museum, which had only been announced the previous week. Owned by the Leicestershire County Council Museum Service, G-AGOS flew again in August 2018 following restoration by Windmill Aviation at Spanhoe. The decision to send the one-off trainer/prone pilot experimental machine to Newark and prematurely truncate its flying career was met with widespread dismay, resulting in an online petition of 1,300 signatures being submitted to the council requesting that the aircraft is kept airworthy for the time being. Given this, the council said, "It is therefore appropriate that a further period of reflection is undertaken to engage with interested parties and to consider the best course of action for the aircraft given it has now completed its trial flights."
