Species which were noticed only at one single spot are most exciting .for a field researcher. In the genus Lithops twenty-three of such mono-colonial taxa have been reported so far (out of 92 Cole taxa). If such a population is just approx. 25 squaremeter in size with single lithops heads of 1 cm which are deeply embedded in granite gravel bf the same grain range, then hunting for lithops is a true adventure. This narrative can only be topped when suddenly more populations of such an elusive species can be found. Surely, one of the rarest and truly most hard to find lithops is L.wemeri which is reported here to grow at least at three native populations in nature.
