Whilst it would be pleasing to be able to report that the sawn timber market has picked up and that we are expecting a strong year of sales, I would be deluding myself and you if I made this statement.-At the start of March, sawn timber sales had yet to see any improvement since the end of 2022. Indeed, even parity with prices through the second half of 2022 would be a positive. So why is this?
