The results of computerized simulation of the efficiency of detecting an electric spark by a fiber sensor with spectral conversion of radiation are presented. It is shown that the use of a protective glass tube in the sensing element of the sensor reduces the effect of defocused radiation and increased radiation capture when increasing the diameter of a cylindrical lens. This leads to an increase in spark detection efficiency. In this case, the tube thickness has a weak effect and can be selected based on the mechanical properties that provide sufficient strength to the sensing element. It is shown that an increase in the interchannel distance with a fixed number of channels of the sensing element leads to a decrease in angular resolution but also leads to an increase in the viewing angle of the entire sensing element.
