Milan-Saipem announced the launch of Bluenzyme, a pre-engineered line of carbon dioxide (CO2) capture solutions based on the proprietary enzymatic technology "CO2 Solutions by Saipem." Bluenzyme is an innovative plug-and-play solution, applied to new or existing plants, that ensures a carbon capture process with reduced environmental impact, making it more sustainable than traditional processes, Saipem noted. The first available product in the line is Bluenzyme 200, a ready-to-use package aimed at small and medium emitters, which have a nominal capture capacity of 200 t/d of CO2. The system is designed for different industrial sectors including oil and gas, petrochemicals, energy, and others.
