SK Geo Centric Tokuyama to Form JV For Producing, Selling High-Purity IPA

Seoul—SK Geo Centric, wholly-owned by SK Innovation, and Japanese chemical company Tokuyama have decided to establish a 50-50 joint venture in Korea for the manufacture and sale of high-purity isopropyl alcohol (IPA). The $60-million joint venture, to be named STAC Co. Ltd., will be located in Ulsan City. It is planned to be established in July 2022. SK Geo Centric will provide propylene raw material for IPA production.
