Tuesday's unprecedented ouster of US House of Representatives Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-California) by a rebellious faction of the Republican Party has clouded the future course of US aid to Ukraine,as a divided Congress is propelled into a chaotic period of uncertainty.President Joe Biden has sought to project confi dence in continued US support for Kyiv since Congress passed a stop-gap measure this weekend to fund the US government until Nov.17.The measure's passage narrowly avoided a partial government shutdown,but excluded $6 billion in aid to Ukraine,part of $24 billion originally requested by Biden.
