The softening economy has caused PMPs to re-evaluate productivity and efficiency at their companies.“A year ago, everybody was running high, everything was pretty good. We were trying to grow and be really productive. We were fat and carrying extra people. When we’re getting these higher inflation environments that we’re in now, we really try to golean, as lean as possible to help protect profit,” said Justin McCauley, CEO, McCauley Services, Bryant, Ark. As a result, he and his managers were working in the field to cover emergency calls and reservices to avoid hiring extra technicians.
