A combined antenna optimized for excitation by the bipolar pulse having the duration of 3 ns is numerically investigated. Three approaches are used. It is shown that the partial phase center of the antenna is situated in the antenna middle in the Hplane and closer to the plane of the antenna aperture in the E plane at the central spectral frequency of 350 MHz. The radiation center is between the partial phase centers at a distance from the aperture plane. This distance is approximately equal to 1/4 of the antenna length.
