Since when has it been a good idea to develop a strategy as a knee jerk reaction to current events? The strategy needs to address how the UK is going to meet it's energy needs in the next five or ten years, if we go down the crazy everything electric path. 2050 as a strategic target is a joke. Now why does "knee-jerk reaction" come to mind rather than "carefully thought-out plan to avert the Climate Catastrophe"?
