A dairy base to oral health

Australian scientists have discovered a milk peptide that may be the most effective weapon yet in the fight against tooth decay and mouth disease. In a project originally funded by Dairy Australia, researchers from the Cooperative Research Centre forOral Health Science (CRC OHS) at the University of Melbourne have filed patents for kappacin, a peptide extracted from casein, a protein in cows' milk.
