Belgian food protection company Janssen PMP (Beerse) has forged an alliance with French agricultural solutions business Elephant Vert (Serris). The “long-term exclusive agreement” enables Janssen to distribute two biostimulants from the latter's portfolio in “key” countries across multiple continents. The offerings include the Bacillus subtilis-based product, Novastim, as well as a soil biostimulant, Ovalis Rhizofertil (Pseudomonas putida strain I-4613). The former solution leverages a patented production process, note the partners, adding that it triggers plants' “physiological strengthening mechanisms”, and fortifies them against abiotic stresses through an elicitor effect. Furthermore, the firms highlight that Novastim accelerates plants' reaction to drought and improves the circulation of nutrients within their vessels.
