摘要

今回は，私が恩師から勧められた"恩書"と 言える本を紹介したい.1冊目は英国の医師Zachary Cope (1881-1974年）の『Early diagnosis of the acute abdomeryで，彼は 1921年にこの本の初版を40歳という若さで 執筆したが，その後も同書を改訂し続け，最後 に第14版を編集した際には91歳であった. 私が一年次の研修医の頃に指導医の濱田裕久先生から1990年発行の第化版（William Silen 編集）を勧められ，同期と輪読会をしてこの 本からは実にいろいろと学ぶことがあった.
