British Columbia has fi ned Coastal GasLink, which owns the natural gas pipeline being built by TC Energy, C$346,000 (US$257,000)for non-compliance with environmental regulations, the Canadian province said. British Columbia's Environmental Assessment Offi ce (EAO) fi ned Coastal GasLink C$340,000 for defi cient erosion and sedimentcontrol measures, and another C$6,000 for providing "false and misleading" information relating to maintenance inspection records. The defi ciencies were identifi ed during four multi-day inspections along the pipeline construction route in April and May 2022.
