Superconducting techniques have been applied to two levitation systems.One is a superconducting magnetic bearing composed of superconductors and permanent magnets.Field cooling method and zero-field cooling methods are applied to these bearings.The other is superconducting levitation system using a superconducting coil with persisitent current.The Superconducting persistent current in the coil and the control current in a copper coil is used for levitating and controlling objects,respectively.This paper discusses these different levitation systems using superconductors and a superconducting coil.
