Green Innovation Fund Program / To Receive Additional Funding of Just Over 450 Billion Yen as Part of Japanese Government’s Budget Bill for Next Fiscal Year

As part of the Japanese government’s budget bill for the next fiscal year, 456.4 billion yen has been included as additional funding for the Green Innovation (GI) Fund program. From this fiscal year as part of the GI fund program, a project which pursues the utilization of hydrogen in the steel industry has officially started. The maximum budget limit for the project is 193.5 billion yen over the course of around 10 years. Now that an additional budget has been included as part of the government’s budget bill for the next fiscal year, there is a possibility that additional funds will be allocated to the hydrogen utilization project.
