Although cesarean delivery (CD) is a commonly performed procedure in the United States, there are significant maternal and fetal risks compared with vaginal delivery. One reason may be related to financial incentives. It has been suggested that financial incentives may be a factor in increasing the likelihood of CD. The aim of this study was to evaluate the association between CD and financial incentives.
