US Shale Output Growth to Accelerate in June:EIA

Shale plays in Texas are expected to continue leading US oil and natural gas production higher in June,according to the US Energy Information Administration(EIA).The agency's latest Drilling Productivity Report(DPR),which estimates production from seven major US shale basins based on the number of drilling rigs at work and their productivity,predicts crude output will rise by about 142,000 barrels per day from May to more than 8.7 million b/d in June.
