AI Karam Towels is putting the spotlight on its design expertise, sustainable bona fides and vertical capabilities across a range of new introductions. The manufacturer is also aiming to amplify its retail-direct business in the U.S. market with the recent hiring of Matthew Getz as VP of business development last November. "We're analyzing the market to identify white spaces, giving that to our designers then going back to retailers with [targeted] products," said Getz. In addition to the design team at headquarters in Karachi, Pakistan, AI Karam Towels has designers in Europe and the U.S. The company produces its own recycled cotton as well as recycled poly. The poly is used not only in products but also in packaging, which AI Karam Towels manufactures itself. "Sustainability is key to everything nowadays," said Kashif Mehtab Chawla, director.
