I read with great interest an article titled "Incidence of lateral femoral cutaneous nerve lesions after direct anterior approach primary total hip arthroplasty - a literature review" by Dahm et al. [1 ] published in the December 2021 issue of the journal and would like to congratulate the authors for their study. The authors performed an interesting literature review to clarify the incidence rate of lateral femoral cutaneous nerve (LFCN) lesions after primary total hip arthroplasty via direct anterior approach (DAA-THA) and showed that the incidence of LFCN lesions after DAA-THA ranged from 0 to 83 % and was widespread.
