AN ability to imagine the larger global picture paired with a scientist's natural curiosity have always propelled Allyson Anderson Book forward. "There are two constants throughout my career," she tells Upstream. "One is that I really like tough challenges. The other is I really like to look at the unknown, figure out what it is about and then go tackle it." Those constants make her a natural fit for her current role as vice president of energy transition at technology company Baker Hughes. The role includes guiding the company's strategy to reach net zero by 2050, driving sustainable operations and supporting commercial energy transition solutions for customers.
