The UK's Armed Forces marked the Coronation as best they could, given the weather. Ben Hall looks at what could have been. On a typically rainy and grey British Bank Holiday weekend, the Royal Air Force, Royal Navy's Fleet Air Arm and the Army Air Corps took to the skies to honour the Coronation of King Charles III on May 6. The flypast was meant to consist of over 60 aircraft and take over six minutes to complete. But due to the inclement weather, it consisted of only the 16 aircraft of the rotary element and the Red Arrows, taking its duration down to two-and-a-half minutes.
