Strong NT dollar hits textile industry

Seventeen textile organizations have submitted a joint statement to the Central Bank requesting a moderation of the weak US dollar/strong NT dollar situation.According to the joint statement,the Taiwanese currency appreciated from NT33.46 against a US dollar in November 2004 to NT31.32 in late February this year,an appreciation of 6.3% in three months.
