摘要

The widespread use of frictional material applications makes the research un-stoppable to discover new materials that help in the development of the field.Nowadays,polymers reinforced by nano-meter-size materials attracted more and more attention.Many nano-materials as graphene,carbon fiber,carbon-nanotu-bes and nano metals oxides were used to create new nano-composites.Carbon-nanotubes(CNTs)have been used as nano fillers of many polymers to make composites having superb tribological and mechanical properties,[1-2].The poly methyl methacrylate reinforced by multi-walled carbon nanotubes MWCNTs with filier content of 0.1,0.2,0.3,0.4 and 0.5% wt.were studied,[3].PM-MA filled by nano graphene and hybrid dioxides nano particles,Si02-TiO2,with filier amount of 0.2 %,0.4 %,0.6 %,0.8 % and 1 % weight fraction were investiga-ted,[4].A weight of 0.1%,0.2% and 0.5% CNTs were added to ultra-high molecular weight Polyethylene UHMWPE to test the tribological behavior.The results showed that the weight loss of the UHMWPE/0.5% wt.CNTs specimen reduced by about 90% compared to the pure n UHMWPE,[5].High Density Polyethylene filled by CNTs were created to observe their wear resistance.It was found that the wear behavior reduces about 58% with adding of 0.5% CNTs to HDPE nano-composites,[6].Different weight Contents of multi-wall carbon nanotubes MWCNTs were filled with the UHMWPE powder and the 20% wt.
